ABOUT ME

joelA well respected, self-taught day trader, Joel R. Harrison is the owner of Harrison Affiliates LLC and a pioneer in a new era of technicals-based stock market investing.  Joel was a scholarship swimmer at Howard University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  Unfulfilled by what a biology degree could offer him, he began his entrepreneurship as a real estate investor.   Following the real estate implosion, he converted all of his time and money from the real estate market to the stock market and has spent the last 8 years as a full-time day trader analyzing charts and developing hundreds of trading strategies.   At the height of the stock market crisis, he took over trading his own family’s 401k and churned out profits each year, while others watched their 401K balances plummet.  From that experience, Joel coined his signature phrase:  “Investing is essential, not optional.”  With over 10,000 hours experience in day trading, he has finally decided to share his wealth of knowledge so that you can begin building your wealth in money! What Would Joel Do was created to take the scary out of trading the stock market.  The goal is to teach average Joels and Janes the basics of managing their own stock market investments by providing basic education on what the stock market is, how the stock market works, how to buy stock, how to make trades and how to review the daily performance of the stock market.  Each day, Joel posts a video blog that provides guidance and education by answering the question – “Given today’s stock market conditions, What Would Joel Do?” Joel is a husband to a Psychiatrist, and father to two sons, aged nine and ten.  When he is not trading the stock market, he enjoys playing thousands of rounds of golf to feed his competitive spirit and is currently a member of the Golf Channel AmTour.
